This is a good representation of the Great Depression because of were the African Americans are living. They are living in shacks for homes and it is probably one of the few places they can afford to live because there are so many people who are with out jobs at this time in history. People during this time had hard times finding jobs so they could not live in well built homes or they had no homes at all.
